Subsequently, the 7th Green Bird Bangkok was held on 26 November 2022 and the event was hosted by Newton Sixth Form School. It was a blazing and sticky day which interrupted the morale of the participants as they worked for a period of time. The rain has been pouring down since the previous night, this causes the area that we’ll be cleaning to be much more bold. However all of our participants worked to the bones.

At the start in the morning all participants and staff members assembled and introduced the concept of recycling and acknowledged participants about the event. The destination of this cleanup is the road which runs parallel to MBK shopping centre. Each of the participants were equipped with a thong, vest, and pair of gloves. Then the staff assign the participants into groups and head off to work.

As we’ve reached the area of the cleanup each participant gets a different type of rubbish bag. Each bag has a different purpose and task assigned. As the cleanup begins we've diagnosed that most of the trash consists of various plastic products , cigarettes and glass styrofoam containers. It was a delightful experience to work and observed how much blood and sweat every participant puts in this Green Bird event.

Although many of the participants may not have noticed each other, this event creates teamwork between participants to accomplish the task. Also each bag of rubbish has been separated and ready to be sent to its destination.

Last but not least, This event sought forward into the future that our society can be a better place for everyone where rubbish can be seen rarely and introducing the idea of separating rubbish into different categories.

Lastly we are absolutely thankful and satisfied with the effort and outcome of these events. Everyone is worth a part of this major change in society and hope to see you all soon in the next Green Bird events!

Respectfully and best regards,
Nattakit Pongpreda (Jerry) Newton Sixth Form School
