５月４日に今年７回目のお掃除にを行いました。
最近は少し暖かくなってきましたが、この日はまだ少し肌寒い中でお掃除を始めました。
今回のお掃除ではカムデンアパートメントの周りを中心に行いました。少し住宅街に入った道なので少し道は狭いですが、参加者の皆さんが綺麗に並んでお掃除を行なってくれたので、安全に行うことができました。住宅街の方でもまだまだポイ捨てされたであろうゴミたちを多く見ます。お掃除をしている時、いろんな方がわんちゃんを散歩させているのを見かけます。ゴミやタバコが落ちているとわんちゃんが誤って食べてしまうこともあるかもしれません。安心安全に飼い主とわんちゃんが散歩できるためにも、一人でも多くの人にゴミのポイ捨てをやめてもらいたいです。
最近少しずつでは新しく参加してくれる人が増えているなと感じます。一回ではなく継続して参加してもらうにはどうすればいいのかを考えることが私たちの今後の課題だと思います。
次回は５月１８日の土曜日です！

On May 4, we held our seventh cleaning of the year.
Although the weather has been getting a little warmer recently, we started the cleaning on this day in a still slightly chilly weather.
This time we focused on the area around Camden Apartments. The street was a little narrow as we entered a residential area, but the participants lined up neatly to clean up the area, so we were able to do it safely. Even in the residential area, we still saw a lot of trash that had probably been littered. When we were cleaning, we saw many people walking their dogs. If trash or cigarettes fall on the ground, doggies may accidentally eat them. We would like as many people as possible to stop littering so that owners and their dogs can walk safely and securely.
I feel that the number of new participants is increasing, if only gradually. I think our challenge for the future is to think about how we can encourage people to participate not just once, but on an ongoing basis.
The next meeting will be held on Saturday, May 18!
