今回はメンバーの1人がアフリカのルワンダという国に行き、グリーンバードを特別開催しました！ルワンダはゴミ一つない綺麗な国として有名ですが、それは清掃係が毎日街をゴミ一つ残さず綺麗に掃除をしているからです。街の中心から外れると、道路の端にはたくさんのゴミが捨てられています。実際、ルワンダ人のほとんどは食べたもののゴミなどをそのまま道に捨ててしまいます。今回の一回のグリーンバードの開催で全員がゴミを捨てなくなるとは限りませんが、少しでもゴミ拾いが楽しいと思ってもらえていたら嬉しいです
This time, one of our members went to Rwanda which is one of the countries in Africa to hold a special Green Bird cleanup! Rwanda is famous for being a clean country with not a single piece of garbage, and this is because the clean-up crews sweep the streets clean every day, leaving not a single piece of garbage behind. Outside the center of town, there is a lot of garbage left on the side of the road. In fact, most Rwandans throw their food scraps and other garbage directly into the street. We are not sure that everyone stop throwing trash after this one Green Bird event, but we are happy if people think that cleanup is fun, even if just a little.
