2025年2月1日、今年最初のクリーンアップを行いました！2025年のスタートにふさわしい暖かな陽射しの中、参加者の皆さんと一緒に活動を始めることができ、とても嬉しく思います。

しばらくお掃除ができていなかったためか、少しゴミの量が増えているように感じました。特に、道端にはタバコの吸い殻や小さなプラスチックゴミが目立ちました。スーパーマーケット「Vons」に向かう道では、よく犬の散歩をしている方々を見かけます。このような小さなゴミがあると、飼い主が気づかないうちにペットが誤って口にしてしまう可能性もあるため、とても気になります。大きなゴミに目が行きがちですが、こうした小さなゴミを見逃さず、少しずつ減らしていくことも重要だと改めて感じました。

今年で、green bird Costa Mesaは活動開始から3年目を迎えます。これまで活動を続けてこられたのは、他でもない参加者の皆さんのご協力のおかげです。心より感謝申し上げます。今年もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

On February 1, 2025, we held our first cleanup of the year! We were very happy to start the year 2025 with participants in warm and sunny weather.

Perhaps because we had not been able to clean up for a while, the amount of trash seemed to have increased a bit. In particular, cigarette butts and small plastic trash were noticeable along the roadsides. On the road to the Vons supermarket, we often see people walking their dogs. This kind of small trash is very worrisome because it could be accidentally ingested by pets without the owners noticing. We tend to focus on the big trash, but I felt again that it is important not to overlook these small pieces of trash and to reduce them little by little.

This year marks the third year since green bird Costa Mesa started its activities. We have been able to continue our activities to this point thanks to the cooperation of our participants, without whom we would not have been able to do this. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you. We look forward to working with you again this year.

The next cleanup will be held on February 15!
